Need to educate our children about payday loans

Son took a pay day loan for £100 when he was 18 - he had no idea about interest and just thought he would pay it back on payday with no problem ...as his car broke down he repaired that first and left the loan only to find the interest had grown to a massive amount. In the end he had to go for help and ended up paying over £2000. I really think they took advantage of a young man who was not money savvy. Not only did he have to pay back a massive amount compared to what he borrowed but his credit score was effected and so its really effected his life.
