Avoid Barclaus at all costs

This bank is so unsympathetic and could not possibly be less helpful. I waited over a month to receive a letter so that I could prove my address and open an account. When I finally got tired of waiting I went into their Bath branch to try and set it up in person and was told it would be over a month until I could get an appointment. I am a student and I have bills and rent to pay and I cannot do so without a bank account. I registered with the bank in September and it is now nearly the end of October and due to their poor service and dismal application system, if I were to actually open an account with Barclays (which I definitely will not be), it would not be possible to do so until the end of November.
