Review of the Monese, Money Account:

Account pending verification for over 2 months, sent out 4 emails, never got any replies

I've recently decided to try some freelance work, and I got Monese recommended to me by several of my friends for their ease of use and simple registration. Oh boy was I in for a ride. To give credit where credit is due, the registration process really is straightforward, you fill out your information, do a photo session with your passport and then wait for them to verify your account. This is where everything went downhill. After I did the KYC I got a screen stating that my information is being verified and that I will get a notification when my account is verified. THIS WAS OVER 2 MONTHS AGO. This screen is still there when I log in to the app. I've tried using their live chat which is useless since it only lets you talk to a bot. I've sent FOUR emails, two to their official support email address, and two trough the app to a different address. I never got any reply. For this to be even more infuriating, one of my friends registered a week after I did, and he already received his card. It took them 15 minutes to verify him. This is absurd, if there is a problem with my verification at least have the common courtesy to give me a notification that my application is denied or reply to my emails. I DO NOT recommend their service, there are much better alternatives out there. Reviewed on: 23rd December 2021
