Ethical banking supporting ethical projects

I am very happy that I bank with an organisation that supports ethical organisations and projects across the country. Seeing your money invested in local green projects, for example, or community interest companies is exactly what we need in an era of huge monolith is companies. While I am not on a large income I am also happy to pay the £3 per month as I am aware of the externalised costs pushed disproportionately onto select customers, for example huge overdraft interest which clearly affects more disadvantaged people. The monthly fee seems to me a small and fair price to pay for the great social and environmental benefits my account helps to support. We need more justice in this world not less and I’m looking for companies that align as close as possible to the kind of world I would like to see. Thank you Reviewed on: 17th January 2022
