Lost trip to Australia !!

To have to claim on travel insurance means you will have had some kind of loss or emergency change of plans. I had a trip booked to go to Australia to celebrate my retirement and to visit old friends. unfortunately less than a week before I was due to fly I became ill and had to spend 4 days in hospital. The doctor told me that I wouldn't be able to fly for at least a month after my discharge from the hospital.! I called 'just travel' from my hospital bed , told them the situation and when I left hospital I had to send a form which was signed by the doctor explaining my situation etc. 'Just travel' reimbursed me for my flight cost , less the excess, within a few weeks. Although I was unhappy to lose my trip to Australia I was happy to get most of my money back . I was expecting to have to fight for it but 'just travel' were very good, and I would recommend them to anyone else . Reviewed on: 30th September 2017
