Review of the Lifetime Pet Cover, Pet insurance:

Good cover, fair price and excellent customer service

Our older dog, Rosie, was insured with John Lewis from a pup but the premiums went through the roof in a matter of a couple of years after she was diagnosed with Osteochondritis Dessecans in her hind left leg, even though she has not needed any treatment so far. I started looking around for alternative cover in the full knowledge that as an existing chronic condition, her OCD wouldn't be covered and I obtained a couple of reasonable quotes. However, these not only excluded the leg with OCD, but very other limb was also excluded for any condition. I then came across Lifetime Pet Cover and obtained an on-line quotation which was very competitive so I called to discuss the position with her OCD. The lady I spoke to was very understanding and immediately contacted their underwriters who said that only the leg affected by OCD would be excluded. Not only did I received first class service and understanding from someone who listened to what I was saying but also a very satisfactory quote which I immediately accepted. I have had one renewal so far and the increase in premium was quite modest - John Lewis please take note! So far I have not needed to make a claim but I am confident I will receive the same first class service. OK, Lifetime Pet Cover doesn't include some of the "extras" commonly found with other insurers but it helps to keep the premiums down so I am quite happy. So far I am a very satisfied customer.
