AT least unethical decision to close an old regular savings account

Suddenly announced that an old regular account was not only variable on the interest rate paid but also that they could get away with ending the bonus rate which had been paid for some years. To add insult to injury they closed the account, moved balance into a new account favourable to them as still with the old single access. I am in the process of moving my accounts elsewhere.
