Great interest rates, no strings, and easy to set up

I had a great experience opening my FlexDirect account - I applied through the app, it took less than 5 minutes, and it was up and running! I love that I didn't have to go in to an office to set it up. I also love that there are no strings attached - i.e. that I don't have to set up a certain number of direct debits to get the great (5%!) interest rate so long as I pay in at least £1000 per month. Most bank accounts have far more hoops to jump through and Nationwide is the best I've come across on this side. The online portal has a bit of a dated look and feel through a web browser, but the app is completely modern and what you'd expect from a bank in 2017. All around I am very impressed.
