I’ve really enjoyed having the American Express Gold...

I’ve really enjoyed having the American Express Gold Card; it fits how I actually spend and has been easy to manage day to day. The app is straightforward, the customer service has been solid when I’ve needed help, and the points add up quickly enough that I feel I’m getting something back for my regular spending. The travel perks are where it stands out for me. Airport lounge passes and the ability to turn points into flights or hotel stays have genuinely made a few trips feel a bit more special without much extra effort on my side. Overall, it’s become my go‑to card for travel, eating out and bigger purchases because it rewards the sort of spending I’d be doing anyway. Reviewed on: 24th March 2026
