Ahead of the game

Starling Bank are very good with letting you know a day before direct debits are due,and if you don't get to put money in they give you until 4pm to put money in. When paying cheques in it usually only takes 24 hours to clear which I love. I have recommended them to two family members and 3 friends, which they are know with Starling and are as pleased as me.
