Falsely promise interest rate increases and ignore emails

Yorkshire BS promised to 'Increase the interest rate on the majority of its variable rate saving accounts by at least 0.25%on the 5th April' I left funds in two variable rate accounts on the basis of this promise. For several days after the 5th April I checked the rates, which did not increase. Looking at all the variable rate accounts, I found that the only one to go up was a childrens account.
