Not really insurance

Initially charged a competitive premium. Our bulldog required treatment for cherry eye on each eye (which now cannot occur again since the glands were surgically removed). This is common in bulldogs and is reflected in slightly higher premiums. Both claims dealt with quickly. When renewal time came the premium had gone up by the amount they had paid to meet the claims ie about 600 pounds! I queried this with them, told them i'd move and they couldn't have cared less. If i'd not have had insurance and paid the vet myself i'd have been better off. Needless to say i have moved, got both dogs covered at a fraction of the price with a smaller excess.
