AVOID Admiral at all costs they will rip you off

I purchased a used 2015 Volkswagen Golf 1.6l Match (diesel) in Feb 2022 and in June the vehicle was involved in an accident. Admiral did not once view the vehicle, but wrote it off ("total loss") based on my non-professional description. They then proceeded to offer me 20% below the vehicle's value as a settlement, and despite my responses and subsequent complaint they have refused to rectify this. I will now be taking the matter to the Financial Ombudsman Service in the hope of getting some unbiased justice. I have been left buying another Golf that is 4 years older and a lower spec than my previous car because of the low settlement Admiral have made, which has left me feeling very bitter indeed. I cannot stress this enough - AVOID Admiral at all costs, they will screw you for everything they can without a shred of decency, the whole company is corrupt, devious and underhanded.
