Review of the Admiral, Car insurance:

Efficient, easy to contact, pretty seamless service

I would give a top rating to Admiral save for two things: when I first insured with Admiral years ago their quotes were exceptionally competitive, no longer. Despite many lower quotes I have however remained a loyal Admiral customer - so far -because of their efficient/friendly service plus inertia. The second niggle is that Admiral do not yet offer pay-by-mile insurance. Fixed mileage thresholds in insurance policies is a pretty archaic way of valuing motoring risk plus bad news for drivers that substantially undershoot the thresholds (as occurred to many during Covid and due to the more recent fuel-price inflation). Having said that, few insurers have yet grasped the pay-by-mile opportunity. Reviewed on: 13th August 2022
