Okay but delayed communication

I used More Than for my car insurer a couple years ago and I had some miscommunication with them when I was up for renewal and looking to move onto another insurer. I had lost the email they sent across with my no claims discount and I tried contacting them multiple times to retrieve it, ultimately it was sent across too late and my my new insurer cancelled on me.
