Review of the Admiral, Home insurance:

Very slow, having to use their arranged Tradesmen to get done.

I placed a Home claim for a water leak back at the beginning of September, they sent someone out to fix the leak within 3 hours as I had emergency cover on my Platinum insurance policey. I got a quote from a local builder to put right damage to bathroom floor and kitchen ceiling, Admiral offered me less than a quater of it as a cash settlement I said NO! They placed a Claims Management Company in charge of my claim (Sedgwick) they then sent another (2nd) person out to assess damage, then increased the offer slightly, again I said No. I told them if they thought their offer was reasonable then they could arrage to have it done. They sent a guy out to prepare another estimate/quote. It's now at least three if not four weeks since that was done and I have heard Nothing. I am Not at all impressed with their cover when you most need it during a claim. Even though their prices look competitive I would avoid using them. Insurance is useless if it does not get to a resolution swiftly in the time of need ! I am STILL waiting to here from either Admiral or Sedgwick Claims Management about what they're up to.
