HSBC has destroyed once-great Premier service

I've banked with HSBC Premier for over a decade. The call centre used to be very efficient and helpful and the Premier Centres in branches very useful. No longer! Without telling customers, HSBC has done away with all the Premier Centres and merged the call centre. Service is now appalling with 20-minute wait times and staff who cannot resolve anything. The diminishing number of branches left open have staff who seem unable to resolve anything beyond minor queries, referring customers instead to the dreadful call centre. What a disaster.
