Review of the Admiral, Travel insurance:

Massively drawn out claim process, 3 months in and my claim has not been reviewed.

My child's travel cot was crushed and destroyed in transit in October as a result I put a claim into the admiral "Platinum Cover" travel insurance through their Web portal. On submission it states that my documents will be reviewed after 30 working days.. 44 days later they reviewed my documents and then asked for further spurious documents such as a hand written letter from my mum confirming that she bought the cot for my daughter. The claim now needs to sit a further 30 working days before they will review again... Suspect that they will then ask another question and I will be asked to wait another 30 working days. The strategy is clear and simple.. Extend the claim as long as possible until you give up. As a result we will now have to purchase another policy before we travel, I have no confidence that if we had an emergency we would be covered by admiral travel insurance. Please be warned.
