PayPal has basically had a proper glow-up.

PayPal has basically had a proper glow-up. It’s gone from being that slightly clunky “do I trust this?” website to the financial equivalent of a reliable mate who always spots you when you’re short. Sending money is ridiculously easy now. No awkward “what’s your sort code again?” conversations—just tap a name in your contacts and boom, done. Ideal for splitting bills, paying someone back, or that moment you realise you definitely still owe your friend from three weekends ago. It’s not just for personal stuff either—it’s solid for business. You see the PayPal option at checkout and instantly feel a bit safer, like “yeah alright, I trust this.” Plus, you can actually keep track of subscriptions and cancel them without going on a full detective mission, which is a win in itself. They’ve also added things like paying over time and cashback, which makes you feel slightly less guilty about impulse buys. Slightly. Security-wise, it’s a bit of a comfort blanket. If you’re buying from some random small website at 11pm, PayPal makes it feel less like a gamble. And now there’s even a physical card, which is handy when you want that extra layer between your bank account and the unknown corners of the internet (or that one questionable shop abroad). And if something does go wrong, their resolution centre is actually useful. Not “shout into the void” customer service—more like “okay, a real solution might happen here.” All in all, PayPal’s grown up nicely. Easy to use, surprisingly flexible, and just makes dealing with money feel a bit less painful—and occasionally even a bit clever. Reviewed on: 15th April 2026

Great way to give grandkids pocket and birthday money and teaches them finance. They can pay for own things and see how fast money can go! Lol. Bit of independence and education! Reviewed on: 3rd March 2023
