Disregard for personal private information.

My main experience with this bank too, is that if you have a business savings account and a personal savings account with them, they freely display your personal savings on a business log-on just because your name as a saver and a business operator at the same address matches, even though they are distinctly different entities with different names. When complained, they too put forward a kind of 'the-computer-says-no' argument and also that they are doing you a favour by allowing you to view all your accounts together in one log-on. Obviously this is wrong because if occasionally you had to let your accountant have a view of your business account, you do not want them to be able to see your personal savings as well. Disrespect for personal information

My main experience of this bank is that if you have a personal account and a business savings account with them, they lump the two together if your personal name and/or address matches, even though they are distinctly different entities with different names. When pointed it out, first they take ages to respond, and then they argue that they are doing you a favour by allowing you to view all your accounts together in one log-on. Obviously this is not right because if occasionally you had to let your accountant have a view of your business account, you do not want them to be able to see tour personal savings as well. Personal and business data separation

If you have a business account and a personal savings account with santander, beware; they will merge the display of all your accounts into one log-in. This means that all your personal savings will be available for all to see if you have given view to somebody like your accountant at times when it is necessary to do so. When you raise the question they arrogantly claim that they are doing you a favour by bringing it all in one view! Reviewed on: 25th March 2026

New kid on the block, shows promise.

Generally good, interest rates limited to low savings amounts. But great for 1st time buyers - the deal with a top-up rate is a brilliant idea. The on-app chat help is good but fizzles out halfway- very irritating. They do follow up with a mail but it takes over where you left off, so the conversation becomes fragmented. Difficult to react to rate changes or moving money.

It is not easy to react to rate changes and moving money with raisin - because they have an interest in deliberately delaying a switch due to their commission or fees. Any switching or closing accounts was very frustrating. Reviewed on: 19th April 2025
