It really is as good as they say it is.

The whole idea of the account is that it provides cashback - nothing very new in that you might think, but this is cashback on things you have to buy anyway, so why not get some money for doing it? The best rate is 3 per cent on your phone bills - mobile and landline. You can never get a decent discount from phone companies so this is a real bonus for the Santander account. You have to remember that there is a £2 monthly fee for the account, so make sure that the benefits outweigh this cost - but if you use the account right they definitely will!
