The rate they quote is the rate you get.

I tried to restructure a loan with my bank as I was changing my car. After a lengthy phone call and 40 questions I was approved BUT at a higher rate than advertised. The representative couldn't give a reason why. I am very lucky that my Experian credit score couldn't be improved on. Never missed a payment on anything in 40 years. That's when I read about how most lenders only offer their advertised rate to 51% of customers and 49% get offered an inflated rate. Ratesetter give EVERY customer the advertised rate if approved. The best part was that I had no intrusive questioning on the phone..... I gave permission to allow Ratesetter to see how much my monthly income was via my bank accounts. I did an online calculation of outgoings and affordability. All done... loan approved. And the best part was, they were by FAR the cheapest interest rate anywhere. My interest is half of what my bank offered. Reviewed on: 10th March 2023
