Brilliant bank but too many default security restrictions

4
I love this bank and the way you get informed instantly about every transaction but every time I try to do something new I discover a new security feature that results in a payment being rejected eg not having the phone and card in the same place, using an ATM, using the card online. It's easy enough to turn the features off with the app in seconds but frustrating at the time. I'd prefer the set up process to ask me which features I require Reviewed on: 8th January 2020

Watch your renewal

Filed an accident report last year for a tiny scratch on another car. Stated clearly we'd settle privately but we're simply reporting. Company paid claim of £200, without telling us either before or after then trebled insurance from £700 to £2100 because we'd made a claim. Refused to budge so went elsewhere at original price Reviewed on: 11th September 2016

Avoid!

Been with company for many years but they have gone downhill rapidly in last couple of years, both in customer service and competitive pricing. Two years ago on renewal this company added a second person to the policy of an elderly friend and trebled the cost. I spotted the letter and got him to phone them. Second person removed and policy reduced to double original cost. Phoned around, got better prices which they then matched. Last year, price doubled again but renewal letter not received and friend didn't notice. This year policy up another 50% to over £2000 and another person added to the policy. Company admit the addition of 2nd person is error but £700 increase is due to claim for minor scratch of £200 ( which they were merely informed about but were not meant to pay), despite still having 4 years no claims. Shopping around gets quote back to £800 elsewhere so will no longer be using them. Reviewed on: 14th August 2016
