Review of the Chase Bank, Current account:

Would never recommend

Form customer support it having a clue about bank. To clarify my opinion is that these are regular people who have never worked in the banking industry working in a call centre. Which makes for interesting and frustrating phone calls. I have cancel a direct debit multiple times only to have chase each month send a payment than I have to contest a payment. Which bring more headaches one off the customer support didn’t have a clue what I was on about and had to contact someone in order to proceed. Oh another occasion. I had a large over payment of over £100 leave my account. On this occasion, it was the company taking the direct debit’s fault. But the lady I spoke to at chase told me I had set up this amount 6 month prior. Which was an absolute joke as for the last six month they had taken the correct amount of £10. When I told to stop the payment I was told they couldn’t done that. After being with another bank for many years (one of the big names) I know you can do this. on multiple occasions I’ve had to wait 30 days for refunds to go into my account which should only take a couple of days with any other bank. One off these was a when I checked into a hotel they held an amount in case I used the bar and charged it to my room. Chase bank paid the amount charged and held the over money for 30 days day the hotel had to realise after calling the hotel they told me it was released the following day after my check out. So avoid chase use a proper bank safe yourself time and headaches Reviewed on: 16th March 2023
