A great card with just one niggle

The lack of card details is a positive and a negative. My card was refused as a warranty deposit at a Spanish hotel, because there were no card numbers that could be processed at check in. Reviewed on: 15th April 2024

Admiral's Plug and Drive app

I tried this device to see if its assessment of my driving would influence the cost of future car insurance premiums. Having used the device, for the stated duration of the year, it was sent back to Admiral. Now I await the renewal quote for 7th November, but not with bated breath. As well as the Admiral device I ran a phone app "Drivesure" as a comparison. Regular emails advised me of my driving profile for each device, and the results were confusing. Admiral rated me 28/100 whilst the app rated me at 88/100! Let's see which result will seem to indicate Admiral's leaning. I suspect the following; a. Admiral will say that my driving score was poor and that is reflected in the high premium. b. Should I chooses to go elsewhere for my quote, I may find that the Admiral assessment follows me. c. What do you think my chances are of using my alternative driving assessment will be in getting a competitive quote? Watch this space. Reviewed on: 30th August 2023
