Fast transfers after Bitcoin sale

Quite impressed with the speedy transfer into my sterling account after selling some Bitcoin. Alas Coinfloor have recently increased their Sterling and Dollar deposit and withdrawal thresholds to four figures. Account validation took nearly a week but the platform is easy to understand and makes trading easy. Coinfloor, understandably, insists on only accepting deposits from your personal crypto wallets. Convenient way to pay for things online

With a fully validated account it has been a handy way to send money in USD to family overseas. I usually compare rates with Western Union to pick best option. Main use however has been with buying and selling on ebay and for paying for small items when purchasing online. I've not had to use the buyer protection so will not comment on that part of the service. Reviewed on: 17th June 2018

Good for emergency transfers

Not a particularly good exchange rate but useful for unplanned support for relatives overseas. Best to have your account pre-validated before use otherwise amounts that can be sent are limited. Helpdesk does its best to sort things out. I estimate 1 in 10 fail first time but usually sorted within the hour after calling. Reviewed on: 16th June 2018

Great way to send money overseas

If CurrencyFair have facilities in the country you need to send money to it is an ideal platform. Bank account to bank account so needs some pre-work before using as both sides need to be validated. Not a Western Union but inter-bank levels of exchange rates. A clear winner for planned and regular transfers. In our case New Zealand and Australia from the UK Reviewed on: 16th June 2018

Really helpful when things go wrong

Four figure purchase went wrong in New Zealand when a company claimed it could no longer trade. The Nationwide team got onto the case very quickly and managed to backcharge the company's account. They recovered 100% of the loss including currency exchange rate move. Reviewed on: 9th June 2018
