There is no shame in seeking a debt management plan

Stepchange helped us to acknowledge our debts without judgement and was instrumental in setting up a payment plan. They have helped and advised us on annual payment plans and contacted accounts on our behalf. They have been invaluable. Accessing account on line is easy, but they are only a phone call if needed. We are coming to the end of our plan and can finally look forward to peace of mind. There is no shame in admitting and accepting debt help, it can happen to anyone. It is certainly difficult at start as bank accounts had to change and no credit available for anything like phones, washing machines etc ; every penny is accounted for. But we persevered and educated ourselves with money along the way. Cannot recommend then highly enough. Reviewed on: 23rd May 2025

Step change has been invaluable in our debt management

Step change helped evaluate all our debts and what action was best suited for us. The biggest step is making that phone call and admitting you’re in need of help. They guided us through our debt management plan and organised affordable payment plans. They keep in touch and can amend our plan if circumstances change which we have done. The relief of finally being in control of our debt as opposed to it controlling us is why I would highly recommend them. There is no shame in reaching out for help. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Non judgemental help was a huge relief

Step change helped us to take control of our spiralling debt at a time when it felt hopless and overwhelming. It is not a quck fix, but debt control is now proactive instead of reactive. Help and advice is a phone call away which we have used often, when circumstances have changed. Absolutely life changing. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2021
