Very efficient and perfect when travelling

Customer service is brilliant. When I have an issue I generally get a direct response and chat within 30 mins. I'm abroad a lot and this makes a huge difference. Especially with security. The app is very easy. I had my card stolen and within 5mins I'd blocked the card and arranged for a new one to be posted to my location abroad and it arrived securely packaged within a couple of weeks which is very rare for the location I'm often in. My other UK bank is a nightmare to deal with abroad, I've had so many problems with cards being blocked, can't speak to someone online, only over the phone when calls are expensive from another country and calls cut out frequently. Starling really has blown them out of the water on every level. I recommend them all the time- best for travelling 100% in terms of no charges and exchange rate too. When buying items online the security checks are very easy to manage and feel secure with the app. My other bank often blocks my card automatically and has rendered it useless even when I'm buying flights on websites like American airlines - which is rediculous. I had to phone 3 times in one month to unblock and now I've rendered it useless. Now I just use starling as NatWest has been nothing but an outdated nightmare. Reviewed on: 31st March 2023
