Seized dog by custom

My son has autism, because of the problems with making friends I decided to buy him a dog. After a long research for the right breed and kennel, I decided that Koda malamute puppy will be a perfect choice . We have been preparing for his arrival for several months. I worked 2 jobs to be able to pay for the dog, its transport and for a new fence (so that it wouldn't run away). Unfortunately, on the UK border, customs decided that Koda does not meet the criteria for entry into the UK and will remain in a forced 21-day quarantine. This situation was very stressful, my son was devastated and depressed . I had no concrete information and little contact with APHA. For this stay they billed £1500, payable within 10 days. My financial situation was very bad because of the high costs for the dog and the fence. My credit score it wasnt enough to get any credit. But I found Nottingham Credit Union on my Council website. I applied and got help. Thanks to Nottingham Credit Union, our Koda is now a year old and my son is the happiest child with a wonderful friend for many years. Reviewed on: 23rd June 2023
