Good customer service - expensive excess

The customer service has been great when I had to make a claim for my horse. However, the additional 16% excess charge makes the overall excess very expensive. These weren’t the terms I originally signed up to but for future renewals they added this charge. Reviewed on: 20th August 2024

Never had to claim so can’t comment on that side of things. My only qualm is that the excess isn’t at a set rate but instead is 17% of the vet bill, which could be costly if there is a serious problem to claim for. Reviewed on: 31st July 2023

The 17% element is standard for vet's fees for illness and injury and allows us to keep the premium lower than it otherwise would be.
