Great customer experience from application to claim settlement

I found the online application process very efficient, asking all the right questions. The quoted price was fair and the documentation, well, typical insurance speak, but with a simple clear summary. Sadly this year, almost 3 years since buying our van, we had an unfortunate incident, not my fault I believe, but the caravan was uneconomical to repair. I must be honest and say that there were some delays in dealing with the claim that I needed to chase up. But the claims staff were polite, helpful and professional. The most important point for me though was that I received a very fair settlement. And that's what insurance is all about in the end. So much so that when we bought a replacement caravan, we returned to The Insurance Emporium to insure this van. And we're able to buy new for old cover. Well done Emporium and thank you. A competitive premium and fair claim settlement

I unfortunately had to claim for damage caused to our previous caravan by a lorry as we disembarked from a ferry to France. There were quite a few delays in responding to my emails during the process which was frustrating. The claims department was clearly very busy. But in the end I did receive a fair settlement when the caravan was treated as a write off and not economically viable to repair. So I insured my replacement caravan with Emporium again, and wasn't penalised for the recent claim, which I appreciated as it wasn't my fault. Reviewed on: 7th August 2023
