Very disappointed customer

1
This is too long winded to go into but what I will say is that I am very disappointed with the service from Emporiumand cover for treatment of my dog . I was led to believe that I had the best insurance but when it came to claiming for an injury to my dog the whole procedure was painfully slow . I had to constantly phone and to my horror I was told that my dog although no pre existing injury would only be insured for six months ! Basically my claim had a time limit and in January my claim would no longer be valid and therefore would become a pre existing condition!! A complete con . Very very disappointing Reviewed on: 12th August 2023
Reply from The Insurance Emporium Good morning, We are sorry to hear of your comments. Without having sight of your policy details, we are assuming you hold a policy that is Time Limited, which means you have up to 365 days to claim for an injury or illness. After the time frame or cover limit has been exceeded that specific claim would be closed and no further costs would be considered. To be able to claim for ongoing conditions through the lifetime of a pet, a lifetime policy would need to be chosen. However, if you were to purchase or upgrade your current policy, any previous claims would remain under the cover held when the claim was made. We apologise for any delay in the claims service, we have had a large influx of claims recently. Kind regards, Kirsty The Insurance Emporium Response date: 14th August 2023
