Price hike for no fault accident

I had someone drive into the back of me when I had been stopped much longer than they should have needed to see that I had due to an oncoming lorry on my side of the road. At my subsequent renewal they explained the huge increase in premium by saying I had put myself in harms way so was considered higher risk! At no time did they ask for the circumstances of the accident, just decided the idiot behind me not concentrating was my fault and I should have avoided them. I know all premiums have risen but this was ridiculous and I will definitely shop around on next renewal. Other that that however I had no complaints. Reviewed on: 18th August 2023
