Overpriced renewal prices

After 8 years with this insurance group for my dog making no claims I received my renewal.The price was increased by 28% year on year.I contacted the service centre for these reasons and asked it be renewed if they wished to retain buiseness ,after much conversation no movement.I have now moved insurance and have a similar policy for half the price of Marks and spencer.My advice is to shop around as they are not tailoring policy's simply using algorithms to create quotes and make no allowance for claims etc simply focusing on profit.
