Review of the One Call Insurance, Car Insurance Broker:

Absolutely Rubbish

Don't sign up for this company. I had an accident in January and am fully insured. During the phone calls I was asked if I wanted to be handled by One Call Claims because it would mean I get a replacement car paid for straightaway instead of having to pay it and then then wait for it to be paid back. FYI Automatically getting a replacement vehicle is sold as one of benefits in a no fault claim! This is all done over the phone and as One Call Claims sounds very similar I assumed it was just the part of their organisation that deals with claims. Turns out when you need them it isn't. I am now having to deal with a lawyer because the third party don't like paying for hire cars and the only way to get the money is to instruct a law firm to do it. Apparently, according to the law firm, this is common, not something I was told on the phone when making the decision to go with One Call Claims! Anyway, I am now apparently the claimant to get the money back and although I have been told I am indemnified, it is only if I 100% do whatever I am asked to by the hire company and that may involve going to court. Nothing about this is explained when making that one decision on the phone. When I called to complain and try to understand what was going on I had a bolshy employee remind me that I was read a paragraph and that One Call Insurance are nothing to do with this as they are just the agent. Completely wiped their hands of it having passed me on to another company (who just happen to have a very similar name). It is now September and this is still ongoing, I have just been asked for my availability to go to court in the next 6-9 months. All very stressful and unnecessary. Do not use One Call Insurance. Find another company that will actually look after you and honour their terms and conditions without hanging you out to dry. Reviewed on: 1st September 2023
