Rip Off if you change car

Wanted to change insurance cover as a result of changing car, but was unable to do so with the initial underwriters so lost the £180 for 12 month insurance even though I had eight months remaining. Was initially told on the portal chatline that the existing underwriters would transfer money to new policy but later told this was not possible. Was also very time consumming to get quote for new car as I was unable to do it through the portal, chatline or telephone (until a day or so before). Hate to think the time a claim must take.
