Awful Insurance Company

Impossible to get hold of. Usually on hold on the phone for 30 mins+. Left repeated messages with someone each time who said the correct person would call me back and didn’t. When I eventually got a call back, they tried once with no information in the voicemail and no way to call back. I had backpackers insurance and one of my claims was a cancelled flight, where I had to pay £500 more for a new one as there wasn’t one with that airline for days and I needed to continue my trip in Australia. They wouldn’t cover this - they would only cover going home. Obviously if I’m backpacking, I’m not going to just go home a week into a 3 month trip! The insurance should have covered my last minute more expensive flight for reasons beyond my control. Reviewed on: 9th October 2023
