Review of the Admiral, Home insurance:

Poor communication, waste of time

Tried to claim through my accidental damage cover for a broken shower screen and hole in the bath. Was told the claim would be treated as an emergency. Sent photos of the damage as requested and was told the details would be sent over to a company called Plastic Surgeons to handle the repair. After no contact from Plastic Surgeons I contacted them only to be asked for the photographs which had not been sent on by Admiral. Eventually Plastic Surgeons advised they could repair the bath but not until the shower screen was fixed. Admiral had given the impression they would be handling the entire repair. Got back in touch with Admiral who advised they would look for someone to repair the screen. After no contact I called today only to be told I should just get my own quotes and send them over which I could have done a week ago but was never asked to do. So now I have to get quotes which could not even be accepted by Admiral and then wait god knows how long to have the screen repaired, then wait however long for the Plastic Surgeon company to fix the bath. Communication has been terrible from the start and am still stuck with a damaged bathroom (the only one in the house) despite paying for gold level cover and being an Admiral customer for two years. Will be moving my policy from Admiral at the earliest opportunity, absolute joke. Reviewed on: 23rd October 2023
