Slow customer services, leave you hanging

Car was flooded in a car park when the River Thames burst its banks. Tesco pass you to a firm called FMG who then say they are allocating a garage to collect the car for repair but won't give any sort of timescale and, of course, you do not get a courtesy car until they collect. So this will leave you without transport for an unspecified length of time. FMG might turn up tomorrow, or 3 weeks time and you won't get a courtesy car until then. This is direct opposite of convenient. How can you plan work, trips to collect people from stations, airports, drop children at scouts, visiting relatives in hospital if you have no idea when the courtesy car will be available? If you call FMG they tell you to call Tesco and if you call Tesco they tell you to call FMG. And despite the size of the car you insured with them you will get a 1 litre tiny little car like a Yaris.
