My first mortgage

When applying for my first mortgage, Leek United Building Society offered the best interest rate on a 5 year fixed deal. We put our application in & everything went smoothly. A few months down the line, we decided that we wanted to start overpaying our mortgage each month so I submitted an online form requesting a callback after 4pm on weekdays. The following day, I received a call from a member of staff who talked through our monthly repayments & amended our direct debit to reflect the payments we wanted to make. She was incredibly helpful & friendly and I couldn’t believe how quickly leek had gotten back to us. I would definitely consider remortgaging with them as I have only had positive experiences so far Reviewed on: 23rd January 2024
