Proof of ID needed (again !), good experience otherwise

Had to return home to find documents proving my identity when opening a Regular Savings account, despite having been a previous customer and having my driving license to hand. But plain sailing after that, and the account still has a good interest rate 18 months later. Unlike other regular savers, this one is not limited to 12 months. Reviewed on: 13th January 2025

clearer advice needed on how to open a savings account

I wasn't allowed to open a savings account in the branch, despite having been assured on the phone that this would be ok, but was advised to apply online instead. Which I did, without any difficulty. Reviewed on: 17th February 2024
