Zopa versus Chase

5
I can cashback for any cash in my account. I also cashback for direct debits and standing orders. Nearest equivalent to Zopa is Chase which I still use but now Zopa gives me more. Reviewed on: 15th January 2026

A breath of fresh air

5
Chase are a breath of fresh of fresh when compared to the big 6 traditional English banks. They give better interest rate rewards varying from 1 per cent for cash in your account and 4.1 per cent for savings accounts. Savings accounts are easy to set up in the Chase app. I have used the Chase debit card to get the best exchange rates abroad. I use another bank as my main account for standing orders and direct debits. This is because Chase does not give cash rewards for these. The exception to this is that I use Chase to pay for 3 mobile contracts for my family. The fact that there are no physical banks in the UK is not a problem to me but I can say that some people would find that a problem. The online support sorts out any problems you may have. The fact that it is a debit card and not a credit card makes me recommend it to my friends and family. You have to put your own cash in and not risk going overboard with a credit card and having to pay it back at a high interest rate. The money on your daily spending gets rewarded at 1 per cent which does not seem a lot but soon mounts up over a year. Reviewed on: 18th February 2024
