The card and app are fantastic for teaching my little one the value of money. She goes out with it and I can see what she is spending it on. I know many think we are losing the value of money by not giving our children coins, but as an adult I very rarely have money on me I use a card. I think it is better to teach children that the card is real money and how to control spending at an early age, rather than getting into debt when they are adults as it doesn’t feel like real money (this comes from experience of family members). Also if my daughter does chores above what she usually has to do she gets rewarded for it and it is easy for me to give her that extra as I don’t have money/coins to do so otherwise (I don’t live near a cashpoint or post office).
