The Rooster App is great- exactly what’s needed with the right level of control / oversight for parents and independence for kids. And The fact that it’s free makes it the best option out there. Reviewed on: 5th March 2026

Easy to use, no monthly charge

It’s easy to use - I like that you can transfer money out of the kids accounts as I often end up paying for things so they can pay me back. The fact it’s a free service is also key as didn’t like paying steadily increasing monthly fees as seems to happen with other options- felt a bit exploitative. Rooster has been brilliant for us -giving kids a good experience of banking seems worthwhile all round Reviewed on: 21st February 2024
