AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!! Took out insurance with Ladybird as read decent reviews on Trustpilot.
They wanted every type of documentation including a V5 document which I have never been asked for in 30 years of insuring vehicles. The lease company never this so had to apply to DVLA to get a copy.
This arrived today after two months and sent it across straight away. Ladybird have erroneously stated that I purchased the car December 2022 when in fact I have leased the car since December 2021 and have requested an additional £175 payment. Their reasoning is that the time the vehicle is owned impacts the premium.
1, I don’t own the car, I lease it. They know this.
2, The date I leased it is December 2021. They know this, I told them.
3, The date they have is wrong.
4, The length of time you own or lease a car has no bearing on your premiums. The age and value of your vehicle does.
