I’ve found the Vanquis credit card useful for improving my credit score and getting access to credit when other providers were less flexible. The application process was straightforward and decisions came quickly. The app is easy to use, making it simple to check balances, payments and spending. One positive is that Vanquis can increase your credit limit over time if you manage the account responsibly and make payments on time. It’s a good option for people looking to build or rebuild their credit history. However, the interest rates are very high compared to mainstream credit cards, so it’s important to clear the balance whenever possible and avoid carrying debt month to month. Customer service can sometimes be slow during busy periods, but overall the experience has been decent. I’d recommend Vanquis for people needing a second chance at credit, but only if they can manage repayments carefully and understand the costs involved. Reviewed on: 20th May 2026
