Been a member since I was 16 years old

I have had an account at Leek Building Society since I was 16. I am now 77. Everyone I have dealt with is polite, civil, well trained and well-informed. Face-to-face and on the telephone I have received excellent advice and assistance. They really do put the customer first and have service at the heart of what they do. There was time when I was 16 years old....

I have been with the Leek Building Society since I was sixteen years old and began my first job. I earned £4 a week. Every Monday lunch-time I would go into the Building Society and pay in £1. The next job I got paid me £9 per week and so I would save a little more out of this. At the time I was able to buy my first flat I had just saved £1,000.00 and the deposit was £500. I have had an account with the Leek Building Society for 59 years and have found them to be helpful, courteous, supportive and very much focused on how they can benefit their customers.
