Highly recommend Rooster for a 1st bank account

My child's Rooster account is perfect for starting their journey to financial maturity. They have access to a card, app and it is very clear what they're getting money for, as well as having savings pots they can set up for various things they want. As a parent, I love the fact that I can monitor what they spend money on, but also like the fact that it's very clear what they're earning money for, down to each chore. There are a couple of downsides, for example, the card can't be put on Apple Pay / Google Wallet, and payments into the account can only be made from the parent's account, but these are not big issues for a child account Reviewed on: 19th April 2025

The Rooster app is great, brilliantly easy to use

The Rooster app is great, brilliantly easy for myself and my child to understand and great that we can both see what they're spending. I like the little saving post she can create, as well as the fact that pocket money can be clearly shown against chores, helping her understand what she's getting money for Reviewed on: 12th February 2025
