The Best of a bunch

We had some ground subsidence in 2009 caused by an Ash tree sapling,and although we were able to stop this by removing it,the insurance Company still penalised us. We were able to get insurance,but stayed with the same company until this year,and thinking five years had passed, we decided to change Insurers as the premium went up by a lot,unfortunately,although we were initially accepted by the new insurer at a much improved premium,they came back to us saying that because we had subsidence within the last ten years,they could not cover us,and gave us 18 days to find another! Not very long. We went through a whole host of well known insurers,none of who would touch us,even though the Engineers report stated that the problem had been resolved. I tried Admiral,as a last resort, half expecting them to respond in a similar vein to the others,but no,they said they could cover us,and as long as we sent a copy of the Engineers report, they would insure us( for a lot less than the specialist Insurers who deal with subsidence. Sure enough,everything cleared,and we have piece of mind again. I would highly recommend vthis Company,as they are polite,helpful,and treat you properly. Reviewed on: 2nd September 2018
