Cost me hundreds on just the word of the third party

I accidentally rubbed someone's bumper with my van it didn't leave a single mark or move the vehicle in any way I left my details anyway after a while I'm told they are claiming personal injury without any evidence it has taken my no clams away and cost me hundreds of pounds as a result why am I being punished with even you say there is no evidence?
